Welcome to Cappadocia, a magical region listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famed for its stunning natural wonders and rich history. With our Side Cappadocia Two-Day Trip, you’ll spend two unforgettable days exploring enchanting valleys, ancient underground cities, and iconic landmarks that have captivated millions of visitors each year.
Cappadocia’s unique landscape is shaped by soft volcanic rock formations, including fairy chimneys, cones, and caves, alongside some of the earliest Christian settlements. This guided tour offers an immersive experience visiting remarkable sites such as Tatlarin Underground City, Love Valley, Imagination Valley, Valley of the Monks, Pigeon Valley, Dervent Valley, and the famous Three Graces rock formations. Stay in a comfortable 3-star hotel in the charming Ürgüp district and enjoy the chance to attend a traditional Turkish Night Show. For thrill-seekers, an optional hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia’s surreal landscape is also available.
Day 1:
Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel in the Side-Manavgat region around 05:00. After approximately three hours of scenic travel, enjoy a breakfast break in Seydişehir town. Arriving in Cappadocia by noon, your first stop is the fascinating Tatlarin Underground City — an early Byzantine marvel with tunnels, chapels, and living quarters. Nearby, explore the historic Tatlarin Monastery, one of Anatolia’s earliest Christian churches.
Next, enjoy lunch in Avanos town before visiting the mystical Imagination Valley and Valley of the Monks, where fairy chimneys rise like castles from the earth. Explore the old Greek village of Çavuşin and the impressive Church of St. John the Baptist, carved into the rock since the 1st century BC. Capture memorable photos at Love Valley and Göreme Village before checking into your hotel in Ürgüp by early evening.
After a delicious open buffet dinner, unwind at your hotel or choose to attend a lively Turkish Night Show featuring traditional folk dances, music, and mesmerizing oriental performances.
Day 2:
Early risers can enjoy the breathtaking hot air balloon experience at sunrise (or simply watch the spectacle from nearby). After breakfast at 07:00, continue your tour with stops at the iconic Three Graces rock formations and Pigeon Valley, famed for its dovecotes carved into fairy chimneys. Explore Dervent Valley, noted for its unique rock shapes and historic cave dwellings, then visit Üçhisar Castle — a natural fortress offering panoramic views of Cappadocia’s breathtaking terrain.
On your return journey, stop at the historic Öresin Caravanserai from the Seljuk era, followed by lunch in Konya. Arrive back in Side by approximately 20:30, where your tour concludes with hotel drop-off.
