Day 1:
Your journey begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in the Turkish Riviera area between Antalya and Alanya. Travel through the majestic Taurus Mountains to Konya, where you will enjoy lunch and visit the historic Mevlana Museum to delve into Turkish Sufi culture.
Next, explore the fascinating underground city of Saratlı Kirkgöz in Aksaray, a Byzantine marvel with tunnels, churches, and living quarters carved into the rock.
Experience the mystical Whirling Dervish Ceremony in the evening, a spiritual performance that has enchanted visitors for centuries. Afterward, check in to your hotel and optionally attend a traditional Turkish Night Show in a nearby cave restaurant featuring authentic music and folk dances.
Day 2:
Rise early for an unforgettable hot air balloon ride at sunrise, drifting over Cappadocia’s spectacular valleys (or enjoy a panoramic balloon view if you prefer). After breakfast, visit the impressive Pasabağ Valley to see the largest fairy chimneys.
Explore the old Greek village of Çavuşin, including the Church of St. John the Baptist, then break for lunch. Continue to Uchisar Castle, a natural fortress among towering chimneys, and finally visit Pigeon Valley, famed for its pigeon houses carved into rock formations.
Return to the hotel for a restful evening.
Day 3:
Visit Avanos, Cappadocia’s charming pottery town, where you can watch artisans at work and even try your hand at pottery making.
See the iconic Three Graces Fairy Chimneys before beginning your journey back to Side. On the way, stop at the historic Öresin Caravanserai, a 700-year-old Seljuk-era inn for traders. Enjoy lunch and a final visit to the Mevlana Museum in Konya, where you can witness another mesmerizing Whirling Dervish Ceremony.
Arrive back in Side by approximately 18:30 and relax after your culturally rich adventure.
